Value of Air-Slaked Lime.

Not enough importance is placed on the value of good air-slaked lime for use in the poultry house and on the runs. Properly used, the lime is of gre t sanitary value. It will counteract disagreeable “odors. A free- use ot air-slaked 1,1 me on, chicken runs where gaps prevail is exceedingly beneficial. Its use no doubt also destroys other germs and bacilli. The wise poultry-man wfll always have a good supply of,lime on hand and use it both ins.de ai.d out of his poultry houses.
