Brakeman Has Narrow Escape.
William Orr of Monon, brakeman on train 31, the early morning train south, had a narrowescape from death Monday morning at Nora, a small station down near Indianapolis, where his train meets No.- 32. After attending to the switch Orr attempted to jump on the pilot of the engine of No. 32 to ride down to the rear of his train, but missed his footing and was struck on the head by the pilot beam of the engine and thrown to the side of the track unconscious. He was picked up and taken on to the city where it was found that his injuries were not serious.
