WILLIAM DANIELS DEAD.
Passed Away at 5 A. M., Yesterday After An Extended Sickness. William Daniels, one of Jasper county’s best citizens, died at his home in Rensselaer at 5 a. m., yesterday after months of illness from kidney trouble. At this writing the hour of the funeral had not been set, but it will be tomor- „ row afternoon. He was ah old soldier, and it is presumed the G. A. R. will have charge of the burial. Mr. Daniels was aged 68 years last Monday. He was an old citizen of Jasper county and leaves a host of. warm friends. No better tribute can be paid to him than to say that he was a good man in all the term implies. -—, He leaves a widow and six children, Mrs. Flora Payne, Mrs. Nellie Price, Korah, Guy, Pearl and Elmer Daniels. His sisters have all preceded him to the better land, but he leaves four brothers, George Daniels of Barkley tp.; Charles Daniels of Denver, Colo., (who arrived here Thursday night); Amos Daniels of Hammond, and Horace Daniels of Rensselaer.
