Slayer of Sweetheart and His Attorneys Refuse to Talk. Muncie, Ind.. Nov. 10. —The grand jury returned an indictment against Charles MrGalliard, Jr., the young painter who. Halloween night, killed his sweetheart, Alta E. Hayworth, at a masquerade dance, charging him, it is understood, with first degree murder. The indictment was not made public.
