The Babcock & Hopkins elevator is being pushed rapidly now, a force of from 12 to 18 men being employed. Several carloads more of lumber have ben received to be used in the construction of the building. a _ Mr. and Mrs. John Reed were down from Virgie Thursday. Next Saturday, Sept. 23, is Mrs. Reed’s 39th birthday anniversary, and they will celebrate the event by giving a big free dance at their home, to which their many friends are cordially invited.
