It is proposed to let down or shorten the bridge about 400 feet on the south end, the same as was done on the north end last fall. It is to be hoped, however, that the plans and specifications yvill be more closely followed in the latter improvement than was donate in the former, and that there will be more bidders on hand. The north end improvement cost double what it should, because prospective bidders got cold feet. The grade put in then is in very bad condition now and it should be repaired before some accident occurs.
