AGED WOMAN GETS BAD FALL.
Mrs. James Yeoman is still confined to the hlouse from injuries received- last * Friday evening from a fall in her home. J. J. Hunt, her neighbor on the north, was sitting at his home reading a newspaper when lie heard a dish fall and break, and
he got up and walked over 'toward Mrs. Yeoman’s house. When in front of the house he thought he heard someone moaning and walked up toward the house. Then he heard the moans more plainly and went up on the porch and pushed open the door. He saw Mrs. Yeoman *partjy lying on a coair near the open trap door to the cellar. Mr. Hunt at once called assistance, a doctor was summoned and her injuries looked after. She had fallen, she states, down the cellar stairs, but had dragged herself up out of the cellar and was so badly hurt that she could not call assistance. It was found that a gash was cut on top of her head and she was badly bruised at the base of the skull and on one hip. She is a large woman and quite aged. While her injuries are quite serious it is thought she •will be about again in a few days. She lives alone and had not Mr. Hunt happened to hear the commotion and gone to investigate she might have died before assistance reached her.
