A COMING PROBLEM.

It is quite evident that Rensselaer will have to do something soon to better dispose of its sewage. All of the uptown sewers now empty into the river not far from the Washington street bridge, and, with the low. stage of water this season and which we are likely to have each sumthif sewage is a menace to the public health and must be better disposed of or we shall suffer dire consequences some cf these days. The only solution, it w r ould seem, is to lay a large sewer in the center of the river, to carry the sewage out west of town past the cenpetery. This, owing •to the amount of blasting on account of the rock bottom of the river, necessary’ to construct same, will make it a very proposition, but, no doubt, one that must be met ere long.
