VALUES IN INDIANA.

Indianapolis, Ind.. August 4. A statement compiled by the State Tax Board from abstracts filed by aIU counties shows that the valuation of all property appraised for taxation in Indiana this year is $1,955,618,320. It is not known yet what the gain over last year will be. The total poll tax is $446,141. The gain in farm lands and improvements over 1907, the last year in which it was appraised, • is $61,140,698. The total valuation of all farm lands and improvements is $715,141,284. The gain in real estate and improvements in the cities is $90,007,101, the total valuation of the city real estate and improvements being $529,394,329. The total! valuation of personal property is $459,386,163.
