THE ART OF SAVING.

An exchange well will generally be found that when a family can’t make both ends meet on sls a week, it can’t do so on S2O. And when not on S2O, then not on $25, etc. The success of all who began on a small salary is almost invariably due to managing to save at least a little something from their income, however small. Individuals, or families, who persist in using up all they can earn, as fast as they can gather it in, -will never accumulate anything—will never lay up even a pittance for the proverbial _rainy day. They live from hand to mouth. When age comes over them they are helpless and doomed to dependence —upon somebody.
