Mrs. N.. E. Dunn and two children of Remington are visiting Mrs. Sarah Pruett and other friends here this week. Mrs. C. B. Stewart of Lafayette, who owns a large tract of land in Union tp., was in the city Friday looking after same. Everett Kinney, the popular dry goods clerk at Rowles & Parker’s store, was operated on Sunday for appendicitis and is now getting along as well as could be expected. George McCarthy has secured the job of carrying the mail to and from the depot. Thomas O’Meara is carrying Rensselaer star route mail. “Comrade” Fox is subbing a few days for Mr. McCarthy.
