March 17.—A ccal hoist just completed by Heyl-Patterson cf Pittsburg ,was dynamited, supposedly by onion men, and two policemen were badly, if not fatally, hurt by a Second explosion while investigating. Loss, $150,090. The steamer Stuart was damaged to the extent of SIO,OOO by the explosion.
