The house has passed the Moon bill, codifying; the laws of the federal judiciary and increasing the yearly salary of the chief justice of ttse supreme court from $13,000 to $15,000 and those tof associate justices from $12,500 to $14,500, also the bill making appropriations«Jor the maintern' ance of the We«t Pcfr* m”p--y ' emy in the fiscal year beginning July 1 next. The militia pay 1 bill was defeated by a vote of 156 to 101.
