Crown Point Star: If the Proctor saloon law passes with SSOO or sl-000 license, and limits the number of retailing places—one to each thousand inhabitants—it will leave the north end cities with plenty of vacant places. For instance in place of Gary having more than two hundred saloons they would have less than twenty, and other places up there will fare nearly as bad. With that law Crown Point could only have three instead of fourteen.
