COMMITTEE APPROVES OF SULLOWAY BILL.

Washington, Feb. 13.—The senate committee on pensions today voted to report favorably the Sulloway general pension bill, which already has passed the house. It increases the general pension roll about $50,000,000 a year. The vote was Bto 3, the minority being Chairman McCumber (Rep.), and Gore and Taliaferro (Dems.) An amendment adopted by the committee reduces the pension of veterans from $36 as fixed by the house, to S3O a month. If the bill becomes a law it will swell the total expenditures for pensions to more than $200,000,000 a year.
