Items Picked Up About the County Capitol Commissioners’ court will convene in regular monthly session next Monday. There was an even dozen marriage licenses issued last month, against thirteen for the month previous and nine for the same month of 1910. Ex-County Clerk S. L. Calloway of Monticello has been appointed deputy clerk of the Indiana supreme court, to take effect March 1. Sam’s Jasper county friends extend congratulations. New suits filed: No. 7699. The National Surety Co., of New York vs. Fred Karch, Trustee of Walker tp., Jasper county, Ind.; petition to be released from official bond. No. 7700. E. C. Morchand vs. Laura McKillip, petition for release from guardian’s bond. —o — The Republican admits that the $2,300 court house clock “has been kicking up more or less all of Sts existence.” It has now been out of commission since Monday, and the repairs necessitated will require parts being sent to the factory. Perhaps Abe’s being away legislatin’ may have something to do with its present balk, and it is possible weHl get no more time until its sponsor returns from the capital.
