IN THE SOCIAL SWIM.

This has been a busy week in Rensselaer’s society circles, and there’s been something every day. Monday afternoon Mrs. Oren Parker entertained in honor of Mrs. Nellie Van Smith Taylor of Chicago at six-handed euchre. Tuesday afternoon Mrs. C. C. Warner entertained in honor of Mrs. Taylor, whose guest she is, at bridge. Tuesday evening Mrs. Earl Duvall entertained the card club at four-handed euchre, and Mrs. Firman Thompson the younger sew club at six-handed euchre. Wednesday afternoon Mrs. Abbie Roberts, and Mrs. John Eger entertained the Presbyterian Industrial Society and served a miscellaneous lunch, at the home of the former. Thursday afternoop Mrs. Hale Warner and Mrs. F. H. Hemphill entertained the Pythian Club at the home of the former, at a guessing contest. \ ;*£• ' * ■
