COLLEGEVILLE ITEMS.
The second term of the present school year was auspiciously opened Feb. 1. Last Saturday, the day after the exams, was a free day to give the students an opportunity to restore their tired spirits. There has been a change in the prefectship for the Southside study hall. The place formerly held by Father Simon is now filled by Father Gerard. A number of new students have been enrolled for the second term, but as they take the places of those who left at the close of the first session there is no change in the total number. Last Sunday, Monday and Tuesday were the days of the annual retreat for the students. The religious exercises were conducted by Rev. Chrysostom Theobald, O. F. M., Cincinnati. His discourses to .the students were effective hnd listened to with rapt attention.
