BOMB AT JUDGE'S HOME

Attempt to Blow Up the Residence of a Chicago Jurist. ■■ t ■ A bomb was discovered on the front doorstep of the residence of County Judge Owens at 3335 Warren avenue. Chicago The infernal machine was found by Miss Ida Owens, the judge’s eighteen-year-old daughter, who had gone to the door to bring in the morning newspapers. Rain . had ■ drenched the steps and soaked the newspaper in which the bomb had been wrapped. The fuse had burned to within an inch of the piece of pipe. At sight of the bomb Miss Owens rushed back into the house add told the judge of what she had found.
