EGGS SO DRY THEY RATTLE.
Only Six Good Ones Found Among Two Hundred Dozen. That he seized two hundred dozen eggs at Paoli and after the eggs were candled found only six good eggs in the lot is reported by A. W. Bruner, a food inspector, in a report to his chief, H.E. Barnard, state food and drug commissioner. He reported also that a prosecution against the shipper of the eggs, the firm of Gresham Brothers, of French Lick, resulted in conviction and the payment of a fine' Bruner says the eggs were “so dry and old they rattled.”
