DENIES AUTHORSHIP

Editor Moorman of the Starke County Republican, who was the defeated candidate for congress in the Thirteenth district denies the authorship of the article published in several papers in this section of the state- and which was credited to his paper, wherein he laid the blame for the result in Indiana to too- much Beveridge. Bro. Moorman not only denies having written or published the article but says he does not hold such views as were expressed therein toward Mr. Beveridge. The article was first published by the White County Democrat, we believe, and was copied by The Democrat and several other papers. The Monticello paper credited it to the Starke county Republican, through error, •it would now appear, and we apologize for the mistake of ourselves, which was an honest one, as we never had any desire to misrepresent anyone, whether in politics or any other matter.
