AUTO BURNED UP.
George Worden of Remington Has Expensive Mishap Friday Evening. The local fire department was called out about 5:45 o’clock Friday evening, by the burning of George Worden’s automobile, and before the flames were subdued the auto was a complete wreck. Mr. Worden and family came over from Remington Friday afternoon in his new 5-passenger Richmond auto to visit relatives, and when they got ready to start home George went out to light the auto lamps. They were at the Worden home in the southeast part of town and the auto was in front of the house. Some gasoline had leaked out and when George struck , a match the gasoline took fire and enveloped the machine in a mass of flames. Before extinguished the machine was a complete wreck, and except possibly the engine the loss was complete. Mr. Worden paid $1,200 fpr the auto last spring and carrifed sl,000 insurance on it, so .his actual loss will be but little. Mr. Worden and family returned to Remington with L. B. Elmore of that place, who brought some parties over here that evening.
