PEETZ SECURES A JOB.

J. L. Peetz, formerly of the Monon News, and who was frequently referred to during the campaign two years ago as * “my husband,” because of an editorial in the News bv Mrs. 'Peetz endorsing hi- candidacy for state statistician., will retire from office Monday and he will be suceeded by Thomas Brolley, his democratic opponent in the recent election. Bro. Peetz will not be cast out upon a cold and unfeeling world, however,- to again pursue riches in the newspaper profession. He has been elected superintendent of the Indiana Children’s Home Society to succeed Sommer W. .Haynes, resigned. The position pays SI,BOO a year under a new ruling of the board of directors of the society. He had three opponents and was elected on the second ballot.
