STRANGE DISEASE IS FATAL

First•;Symptom 3 Are.; H eadaches, •• Followed by Unconsciousness. Lap'orte, Ind.. Oct. 28. —Hundreds of persohs in this city are in terror because of an unknown and strange disease which first manifests itself in intense headaches, followed by periods of unconsciousness death speedily ensuing. Dr. Gray whose death was ascribed to meningitis, died after an. illness of two days. Carl Kreidler was about the streets Saturday. He was dead Monday. Two additional cases simi-. lar in character were reported and there is the fear of a fatal result in e&ch case.
