J. D. BABCOCK SELLS OUT.

Former Jasper County Man Sells Farm Near Bluffton at $l5O Per Acre. James D. Babcock, former trustee of Marion this county, has recently sold his 220 acre farm near Bluffton for SISO per acre. That is. he received Sl5O per acre but the farm was sold at 5152.50. the agents making the sale receiving the extra $2-50 per acre. Mr. Babcock bought the farm some eight years ago for about SB7 per acre, and. we understand. had made no improvements except some tiling, painting the buildings, etc., so that he has received a nice income from the farm right along besides the increased price it sold for. He is undecided just where he will next invest, but expects to prospect a little in Missouri at least before buying elsewhere.
