J ____________ BULLETINS. Gibraltar, Oct. 7. Between 11 o’clock last night and midnight this morning the Portuguese royal yacht Amelia, with Infante Alfonso and Queen Amelie aboard, arrived here. It is believed that King Manuel, with his grandmother, Maria Pia, are also aboard the yacht, but this cannot be confirmed. LATER—King Manuel was on board the Amelia. All the members of the royal family landed and went to the residence of the governor. Vigo, Spain, Oct. 7. —Passengers on the steamer Asturias, which has arrived here from Lisbon, says that 1,000 were killed and several thousand were wounded in the uprising there. : Lisbon, Oct. 7.—The government held its first council Thursday. It is believed that the Republican triumph is secure in the whole country. The government has appointed civil governors in all the provinces. The government, of which I am president, has taken every precaution to guarantee the lives and safety of the king and his family , whether they embark on soiSe foreign vessel or leave Portugal by land. Public order has been perfectly maintained by the Republican forces and even the people themselves Their enthusiasm is indescribable.
“Several country towns are enthusiastically on our side. The stability of the republic is assured by the desire of the whole country. It will respect all the natural covenants of Portugal and wifi be pleased to further the consolidation on a moral and practical footing of good relations with foreign peoples and of the,alliances with England.” Later Senhor Braga cabled:
“We continue to receive fresh recruits. We have just recorded the adhesion of the governor of the entrenched camp of Lisbon, namely. Gen Alveo Cardecia, formerly minister of war under the deposed king.”
