NO “CHOO CHOOS” YET.

We greatly fear that there will be another freeze-up along the Kankakee marshes before Eugene Purtelle* gets his electric railroad in running order. Purtelle was so anxious to get to work a year ago that he could hardlv wait for a franchise f ; 'rV through Renssejaer. And still a full year 'has gone by and not a shoveful of earth has been thrown up at any place along his proposed line. As The Democrat remarked at the time, it takes something more than a breeze to build railroads nowadays.
