AFTER B. FORSYTHE.

Oxford Business Men Try to Head Off Ben’s Closing Out Sale. Representatives of four of the business firms of Oxford appeared before the town board Monday night and called attention to Ordinance No. 25, which provides for the payment of a S2OO license or S2O a day fine for failure to procure license by any firm opening up a bankrupt, closing out or fire sale inside the corporate limits. This action was taken as a protection against a proposed sale of this kind to be conducted in the near future in the Curtis Branson room. The board assured the gentlemen that their interests would be salf-guarded so far as the town had the power. —Oxford Gazette.
