Ind.. .Aug. 12.-—At North Manchester,rThis county, a Big Four south-bound freight train, drawn by two engines crashed into a Vandalia freight train at the crossing of the two tracks. * The fireman went down in the first demolished engine, but was uninjured. Other trainmen leaped to safety The property damage is heavy A down grade made it impossible to stop the Big Four train. The Vandalia train went dead on the crossing.
