ACCUSED OFFICER RESIGNS
Evansville Patrolman Shuns Trial on * Charge of Insulting Woman. Evansville, Ind.. July 29.—Charges by Mrs. George Keuber that Patrolman William Brammit. a recent appointee on the police department, had grossly insulted her in her own home brought Brummit’s resignation. He said he would rather resign than stand a trial. Police Chief Covey said that his resignation- would end the matter unless Mrs. Keuber desired to push her charges further.
