WOODCHOPPERS GALORE.
Wheatfield Camp, M. W. A. Adds Twenty New Members Monday Night. N. Littlefield, Fred Arnott, Frank Morrow 7 W. F. Osborne, J. M. Knapp, Elmer Gwin, W. I. Hoover, F. E. Babcoek, G. A. Jacks, W. R. Shesler, Judson Maines, Frank Tobias and John Mjerritt went to Wheatfield Monday evening and witnessed the initiation of a class of twenty into the Wheatfield Camp of Modern Woodmen, the work being done by the officers of Rensselaer Camp. The trip was made in three autos, and ' after the initiatory exercises a fine banquet was given the new members and visiting Neighbors from other Camps at the Brown Hotel, •about 100 in all being served. The new ritual form was used in the work, and the boys did exceedingly well considering their brief familiarity with the new rituals. There should have been twen-ty-four in the class initiated, but other business kept four candidates away, who will be taken in at the next meeting. The Wheatfield Camp is in a most flourishing condition, and the class initiated Monday night, was, we believe, the largest ever taken in at one time by any Camp in Jasper county. Besides this, there were eight more applications presented Monday night for membership in this most excellent fraternal order, and with the amdunt of voting and energetic members just initiated the Camp will be sure to have a s&od and substantial growth right along. The home boys state that they were treated royally’ by’ the Neighbors of Wheatfield Camp, and they hope sometime to be able to reciprocate. They got home about 3 a. m., Tuesday’ morning.
