A few Rensselaer people received invitations to the picnic of the Indiana Society of Chicago, at George Ade’s country place near Brook Saturday. All report a fine time and fried chicken galore. It is said that 400 chickens were fried for the big crowd, numbering all told about 500 people. many of whom drove through in autos while others came via the special train from Chicago.
