Whited of Wheat* field returned home Monday after a week’s visit here with her mother. Mrs. Mary Callahan. T. W. Shesler, a traveling furniture salesman with headquarters at Richmond, spent Monday here with his brother, W. F. Shesler and family. Mr. and Airs. George Dunn of Wichita, Kans, came Satu»day for a visit with relatives in Jasper cqunty, I. D. Dunn of Kankakee tp., and Granville Moody of Barkley tp. J. W. Tilton and sister, 3fliss Beula Glasscoe, went to the latter’s home at West Chicago Monday where the former will spend a few weeks. Miss Glasscoe had been visiting here for the past few days with her sister^ Simon Leopold, manager for the Model Clothing Co., has just closed a deal for a stock of clothing all new 1910 models. He informs us they are such makes as Hart Shaffner & Marx, Adlers’ Collegian, and ElerheimerStein. A Miss Mary Reiddle of Pueblo, Colo., a daughter of Mrs. Lena Reiddle of Rensselaer, was reported critically ill through a telegram received by the latter Monday night. She has been located at Pueblo for the past twelve years. _ Hiram A. Thompson of Tulsa, Okla., came down from Chicago Saturday night, where he was oh "business, for a brief visit with his sister, MVs. C. W. Duvall, whom he had not seen for 31 years. Mr. Thompson was horn in Rensselaer leaving here in 1871. He was for some years chief of police of Tulsa. Mr. Thompson returned to Chicago Monday, where he has business that will occupy his attention for perhaps a we'Ck or more, and may go from there to Washington, so. C.
