Mrs. Mary Howe and daughter Agnes left yesterday to spend the summer at Arvilla, No. Dak. D. B. Wallace of Chicago spent Sunday with his son, A. E. Wallace and family, of west of town. Monday morning there was still about 100 acres of corn to plant on the Monnett farm west of town. J. L. Brady • and Judson Maines went to Streator, 111., Monday and brought back the former’s Hallady auto. Matt Worden has sold his 10horse power Buick auto to Dr. H. L. Brown, and will perhaps buy a Model 19 Buick. Mrs. William Beck returned Saturday from a visit with her sons, William at Terre Haute, and Richard at Lebanon. . 7" Miss Mary Gant went to Ludlow, 111., Monday to spend a few months with her aunt, Mrs. Clarence Nuss and family. Mr. and Mrs. Frank King and daughter Elizabeth went to Indianapolis and Zionsyille Sunday for a week’s visit with, relatives. jK. Miss Edna King is learning 'telegraphy under the tutelage of Miss Elizabeth Spaulding, the local .agent for the Western Union. G. R. Hart of Olney, 111., spent Sunday here with his daughter, Mrs. W. H. Brenner, having been in this vicinity on >a few dayg business trip. John Remley accompanied his daughter, Miss Opal, to Chicago Sunday where she will spend a. few days. Mr..Remley returned home the same day. Harold Clark will return home from Indianapolis Thursday where he has been attending the deaf and dumb school. Mrs. Clark attended the closing exercises there last week.
