Mrs. Porter was formerly Miss Mamie Williams of this place. She had not been in Kentland for a number of years, and expressed surprise at improvements that have been made. In riding around town Mrs. Porter stopped to take a snap shot of the hornon Washington street in which she was born, and also of the old Methodist church before its demolition.
