A BIG DAY’S BUSINESS.
Rensselaer Creamery Paid Out $694 to Farmers for Cream Saturday. The Rensselaer cream-buying station paid out $694 to farmers for cream taken in that day, the biggest day in its history. It shipped out Mon lay morning on the milk train three dray loads or 75 ten gallon cans and 2 eight gallon cans to Chicago, a total of 766 gallons of/ cream. The transportation cost on this amount was $19.15. This cream buying business is the best thing for Rensselaer that it has ever had, brings trade here from quite a distance and puts an average of more than SI.OOO a week in actual cash in circulation in this community. Lt is also a mighty good thing for the farmer, who is'keeping more cows on his farm now than ever before and is finding that it not only pays him well in direct returnes but he can build up his farm better by dairying than in growing grain altogether.
