THE HOODLUMS WERE ON HAND.

At the monthly social of the C. E. Society held at Miss Jessie Makeever’s home last Wednesday evening, a splendid time was had by all present. Light refreshments were sefved at about 10 p, m. As is usual at such gatheringsthere was a, gang of hoodlums hanging afound the house with the intention to “swipe” some of the refreshments. Before they -left empty-handed, one of them proceeded to stick his foot through one of the front windows. It seems strange that this rowdism cannot be stopped, as it is most annoying to have property damaged every time a gathering with refreshments on the program is held.
