PEACOCK CASE AFFIRMED.

Decision In Newton Circuit Court Upheld Against Erastus Peacock. The supreme court Saturday affirmed the Erastus Peacock case tried in the Newton circuit court on change of venue from Jasper county in October 1908, wherein Mr. Peacock was found guilty of wife desertion as charged in an indictment returned by the grand jury of Jasper county in April 1908, and was fined SIOO and costs. Defendant appealed from the decision with the above result. All objections to the conviction were overruled and the judgment affirmed.
