Items Picked Up About the County Capitol. Judge Hanley attended the celebration at Kentland. Thursday of the 50th anniversary of the founding of Newton county. The Babcock vs. Washburn, et al. cases came up in the circuit court Wednesday, and after making 1 up the issues and seeming 'a jury Judge Vinton, who wanted to atteijd the anniversary celebration in Newton county Thursday, adjourned court until yesterday at 9 a. m., when, through the offices of Judge Vinton, the matters were compromised and it was agreed to dismiss all the cases on both sides. —o New suits filed: No. 7601. Wheeling Corrugating Co., vs. Louise; Miller ; suit on account. Demand $162.25. x No. 7602. Carson Vandusen vs. Laura May Vandusen; action for divorce. « The plaintiff resides in Keener tp., and the complaint alleges “that the defendant now ip an d for several months past she has been living at Momence, 111., in adultry with one George Haskell.” The parties were married June 22, 1909, at Virgie, Jasper county, the complaint alleges. Defendant’s maiden name was Laura May Eldredge, and they have one son ' aged six years, which plaintiff asks the custody of. The lefendant is charged with having deserted i plaintiff March 18, 1909.
