PASTORS GIVE UP PULPITS

High Cost of Living Drives Minister* to Other Vocations. : . —:• I LaPorte, Ind., April 15— The La gansport Presbytery, made up of the northwestern counties of Indiana, has suffered from an exodus of pastors without parallel. Two-fifths of the members have no minister. Three stated Merks have gone within three years. All three Presbyterian pastors in Logansport have gone. Rochester Hammond, Winamac and several othei good churches are vacant. This was* the report made, to the Logansport Presbytery. The explana tion offered is the present high prices and the inability cf the clergymen to live within their salaries.
