The Rubber Trust.

Recently the Diamond Rubber trust of Akron, 0., declared a dividend of 10 per cent and raised its capital stock from $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. It is one of the tariff pets, and it is in entire sympathy with Mr. Jolln Kirby, Jr., in protesting against the “unsettlement of business conditions’* yvhlch would follow upon any further discussion of the tariff. Why not let well enough alone? Why should it not enjoy the prosperity tt has earned?
