ONE OF THE BEST SALES THIS YEAR.

Newt Pumphrey’s sale Tuesday was one of the best, small sales * ever held in Jasper county. A. J. Harmon was the auctioneer and he had a good crowd and good stuff to aid him in making the sale a recordbreaker for prices One mare with foal scAd for 1267, another for $225 and a two-year-old for $2Ol. The cows sold at from $52 to $67 per head. Five brood sows sold at from S3B to $57 and the five brought a total of $230. White Leghorn chickens sold at sl2 and sl3 per dozen. It Is needless to say that Mr. Pumphrey was highly pleased over the results.
