Evidently “Our Tom” McCoy needs all the ready money he can get for his speculating in the Chicago stockyards, and it is not likely much -of the money held out by* Mrs. McCoy on the McCoy lands still remains, the costs of* Tom’s trial, etc., using up about all of this. When Mrs. McCoy recently sold the former family residence here—the house which was wrecked by dynamite—to Earle Reynolds for $2,300, %he latter paid but SSOO down and gave a mortgage to Tom for the remaining SI,BOO, and in a very lew days Tom sold the mortgage to a Rensselaer banker.
