Makes Telephone Her Gallows.

Ithaca, N. Y., Dec. 28.—Placing her neck across a telephone receiver so that the phone cord formed a half loop about her head. Miss Martha Baker dropped to her knees and in a few minutes was dead by strangulation. Grief over the death of her father caused her suicide.
