BILL TO RAISE THE MAINE

Measure Provides For the Interment Any Bodies Found. Washington, Dec. 21. —Representative Loud has introduced a bill authorizing the secretary of the navy to submit propositions requesting bids for the removal of the wreck of the United States battleship Maine from Havana harbor and properly Interring in a national cemetery any bodies found. The president is authorized to make the necessary arrangements for a convention between the United States and Cuba for the carrying out of the plan.
