TORTURED WITH HOT SAUCE

Tala of Ex-President Zelaya's Cruelty Brought by Civil Engineer. Los Angeles, Dec. 21.—Marshall H. O’Neill, a civil engineer who has just arrived from Nicaragua, says former President Zelaya forced prisoners to confess they were against him by torturing them with Injections of salt water or pepper sauce. Eighteen who were tortured were shot With some Englishmen and Americans O'Neill engaged in a conspiracy to Invade Nicaragua from Honduras, but the attempt failed and all were captured. They were sentenced to be •hot but escaped through the efforts of the British consul.
