THAT NEIGHBOR OF YOURS.
Republicans have every advantage in argument. Now is the time to impress on your neighbor the good that is in Republican party management of public affairs.—Republican paper. Just call his attention, for instance, to the fact that in twelve years the cost of living has increased 56 per cent; that in that time ninetenths of all the trusts that are picking his pocket have grown up; that taxes are higher than ever before; that two years ago occurred the worst panic the country has known and the effects of which are still felt; that within the last few years the government has lost hundreds of millions of dollars through customs frauds; that a tariff law so bad that twenty Republican representatives and seven Republican senators refused to vote for it, was passed at the last session of congress by the Republican majority; that during the last four years of the Roosevelt administration a billion dollars more was spent than during the last term of Clevelan. And so on. There are plenty of things of this sort with which you can Impress your neighbor. Do it, too, if he asks you.
