Distinguished Men from Many States Wilt Attend the Land and Irrigation Exposition, and Be Royally Entertained. ▲ feature of the Land and Irrigation Exposition to be held in Chicago, Nov. 20 to Dec. 4, will be a banquet to distinguished men who have shown a marked interest in irrigation andother forms of land development Among those invited to this affair are President Taft and cabinet, governors of many states, particularly those of the west and southwest; Hon. James J. Hill, and other distinguished railroad men; Arthur Stillwell, of Kansas City, Mo.; E. B. Ripley of the Santa Ferailroad; Edwin Hawely, B. F. Yoakum, George Gould, William K. Vanderbilt C. K. G. Billings, Gage E. Tarbell, J. Pierpont Morgan, John D. Rockefeller, F. H. Newell of the reclamation service, Dr. W. J. McGee and many others. < Not in many years has there been such feeling of enthusiasm over the development of our country’s resources as at the present time. Scientists, financiers and men of all walks of life are turning to the land as the source of all our supplies and as affording a means of outdoor life and health. The great exposition in Chicago, under the auspices of the Chicago Tribune, will afford the opportunity for a great gathering of the forces that are doing so much for the irrigation and reclamation of what formerly were considered our waste lands.
