Declares Man She Shot at In South Bend Is Insane. South Bend. Ind., Oct. I.—Trial of Mrs. Leona B. Mason, charged with having attempted to kill John W. Talbot, supreme president of the Order of Owls, began in the county court. Talbot was arrested on an affidavit by Mrs. Mason alleging that he was insane. His brother filed an affidavit charging Mrs. Mason with perjury. Mrs. Mason shot at Talbot In the street several months ago.
