TEACHER AND PUPIL FALL IN DITCH.
The teacher at the James’ school south of town took her pupils out Friday afternoon to show them the work of the big dredge on the Howe ditch. They went out to the bridge on the Remington road, and in some manner the teacher and one of her girl pupils got too close while on the bank of the ditch and both fell into the water. Fortunately the water was not very deep there, and there being no convenient young man about to rescue them, they managed to climb out by themselves, thoroughly wet to the skin.
